A different kind of Vonnegut

I’ve read a lot of Kurt Vonnegut books, but about a week ago when I was out at the library and looking at a shelf full of his books, I spotted one that I’d never read before, Timequake, so I decided to check it out and read it. In typical Vonnegut style, it was really different than what I had expected. It’s from the point of view of Vonnegut and then also from the point of view of his failed sci-fi writer alter ego Kilgore Trout. I was a little skeptical at first, but I really ended up liking the book.

I was wondering how I had missed out on this book and so I did some research online about it and learned that it was one of his last books. When I was reading stuff about that I also came across this site, www.clearwirelessinternetservice.com/local_internet_service.html and switched over my internet service to it as a result.

Well, Kilgore Trout is a whole lot like Vonnegut, except he’s homeless when the timequake hits and everyone on earth has to exactly repeat the last ten years of their lives, which makes for some interesting stuff after the repeat is over…
