Mindfulness Mondays: Action is the Path to Attraction
Today’s post is a guest article by Jennifer Davey of JJS Coaching. Jennifer appeared here a few weeks ago as our Biz Mommy of the week and I’m very pleased to welcome her back and have her share some simple but very practical and wise advice on how to use the power of attraction in your business and personal life.
Taking action and reacting are two different things that will affect your business in completely opposite ways. If you are constantly waiting and reacting to things that are happening around you, it will negatively affect your business. If you know what you want and take action on a constant basis, it will put your business out in front. Your confidence will grow and the competition and clients will be reacting to your actions.
I like to align attraction and action. There is no attraction without action. There are certain Laws of Attraction that most people are familiar with. I align a specific action with each Law of Attraction for maximum benefit.
The first Law of Attraction is to clearly define what you want to attract. This is a natural first step. My law of action states that you have to get specific on that goal. Write out in detail what you want and how it will change your life. Then take that goal and break it into manageable steps.
The second Law of Attraction states that you have to ask the universe for what you want. Translate this into concrete action by committing to your goal. Make it important. This means you are going to make time to meet your goals. Write down the actions you will take to reach that goal. Your actions will yell out to the universe.
The third Law of Attraction asks you to use visualization. Visualize what you want and then act like you have it. This is all about confidence. If you feel like you have achieved your goals already and can see it in your mind, taking action on that goal is simple. Many successful people use this technique on a daily basis. It holds a lot of power.
The fourth and final Law of Attraction is all about gratitude. Be grateful that you have gotten what you wanted. Gratitude is a very special and often rare trait in the world. Gratitude tends to bring even more good fortune your way because it keeps you open to possibilities and keeps you humble. Nobody ever makes it without help. Gratitude will make it worth it for those who helped you succeed.
Everything you do for your business needs to be thoughtful. Never take action without thinking it through first. Thinking it through takes time, but your action will be much more decisive and impactful. Being thoughtful will keep your focus on goals and open up a world of opportunity.

Personally, I think that the spoken word is extremely powerful and we attract what we talk about. I used to be afraid of saying out loud what my hopes or aspirations were for fear of being judged or accused of being unrealistic. I’ve learned to share my intentions with those of like mind or whom I feel it’s safe to open up to and I stay alert for every opportunity to do so. And some pretty amazing things have happened since I started stating my intentions. So, I’m pretty sure the universe is listening! I also take care not to give in to negative-speak, no matter how many people around me are indulging in it or how harmless it may seem in the moment. Most of all, I try to stay really, really grateful for all that I am and for everything that happens to me. Because good or bad, it’s all part of the process and useful in one way or another.
And what about you?…
How are you using the power of attraction to effect positive change in your life? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
