A Break for Play

0

For me, one of the biggest challenges of working from home is getting so involved in what I’m doing that I forget to take breaks.  It’s great to enjoy what you do so much, but taking some stretch and “play” breaks throughout the day is essential to avoid eventual burnout.  Play breaks are especially important if you’re working with small children at home.  As I often tell my 5 year old daughter, “A little bit of work first, then a little bit of play!”  So for every 45 minutes of work, try breaking out the ping pong tables or taking a dip in the pool for a quick game of Marco Polo with the little ones.  I guarantee that not only will you keep the kids happy but you’ll also be more productive and efficient at your desk as well.
