Bow Ties and Bad Haircuts

Two reasons I’m super glad I have two girls: bow ties and bad haircuts. Just as learning to tie their shoes can be challenging at first for many kids, getting those loops right with a boy’s tie seems challenging for even some teenagers, so I’m glad that’s not on my list of lessons to cross off. And as far as haircuts go, I know that my inner budget-conscious frugal woman would insist that cutting a boy’s hair can easily be done at home in order to save a few bucks. And judging from the fact that most little boys I know have gone through the “mistake” haircut phase, it’s probably better that I never have to pick up any cutting shears.
