Ah, consumerism; ‘ya gotta love it…or not. Everyone’s selling the fountain of youth, the best acne treatment, the miracle solution for losing weight overnight. A friend just emailed me a video about the bill of goods we’ve been sold by some of the big bottled water companies. Apparently, a large percentage of the “delicious mountain spring” bottled water bought in stores (for sometimes $3 a pop!) is merely filtered tap water. On top of that, tap water in a most places is actually fine, even healthier to drink. And people ask me why I don’t let my kids watch broadcast television.
