Modern times have, unfortunately, drastically changed the financial landscape for many families. Job losses, foreclosures and a struggling economy are all terms that have gained a lot of traction over the past several years. Never in recent memory has there been such a need for cost-cutting and major monthly budget overhauls as there is right now.

Personally, I’ve spent many bill-paying sessions trying to decide which “luxury” expense had to be cut out this month. And by luxury, I’m not talking about spa visits or expensive vacations. No. Sadly, those kinds of perks were on the chopping block long ago. I’m talking about department store credit cards or looking for cheaper cell phone plans.

As far as the latter goes, the days when every cell phone company would promise you the moon just for signing up are gone. With the ubiquity of portable technology and the “need” for constant connection came the arrogance of cell phone providers that know their next customer is literally right around the corner; consequently, they charge exorbitant fees and couldn’t care less whether you like it or not.

That’s why I find the idea of a Billshrink cell phone plan absolutely fantastic! What is that, you ask? Well, basically it’s one of those ideas that seem so simple, you wonder why nobody came up with it until now. The best part? It’s F.R.E.E!
