Cigars and Conversation

I’m not a smoker, nor is anyone in my family. And I’m definitely on the side of living in a smoke-free environment as one of the means to a healthier life. But, truth be told, my husband has been known on occasion to indulge in fine cigars, and yes, I have joined him from time to time. We used to live in a small town that had a cigar club which was very popular among the locals. More than anything else, it was a place for community meetings and connection. There were always interesting characters, lively conversation, lots of laughter and great food. It was also a good place to catch up on the town gossip! I suppose it doesn’t excuse the smoking, but it sure was a fun way to meet the neighbors.
