Keep Kids Safe on the Internet

0

As mom to a 3-year old and a 5-year old, I still have a little time before I have to worry about the kinds of activities that my kids are up to on the internet.  That’s not to say that I haven’t already begun to fret about what precautions I will take when that time comes.  I have friends with kids that are teens and pre-teens and it’s appalling to me some of the material that they have access to online.  I’m sure their parents try to police things as much as they can, but they can’t be by their kids’ side every second of the day (the kids would really get a kick out of that wouldn’t they?).

I think that most parents feel generally comfortable with letting their kids have liberal access to the computer at home – the thought being that at least the kids are at home and not out anywhere getting into some kind of trouble.  But the face of trouble has changed in the internet age.  Cyber Bullies exist on the internet, as do sexual predators and very explicit or pornographic images and content.

So, what does a concerned parent do when trying to keep their kids safe and somewhat sheltered during their internet travels?   Well, one very good solution is to use Internet Safety Software.  Visit SpectorSoft.com and find out more about how they can help you to easily and discreetly keep tabs on your kids’ online activity.
