We know many of our readers and many families in general have thought about and attempted to start family businesses. Bizmommy is struggling to do the same. The dream is to be your own boss, make your own schedule, provide for your family, forge your own future and create something that is useful to others and makes the world a better place.
We also know first-hand that it’s not easy. So, whenever we can, Bizmommy likes to show support for others on the same path by spreading the word about great family businesses.
Yesterday we came across one of those web sites that make lists. The list was something about alternative or innovative gifts for the holidays. A suggestion therein was Wondermade Marshmallows. Intrigued, we visited their site. What we found was a great idea, well…wonderfully made. It was enticing with a sense of fun and nostalgia.
They make marshmallows, but not just any marshmallows. They have perfected their product with high attention to ingredients and a year’s worth of testing to create what are probably the most appetizing looking marshmallows (or mallows, as they call them) that I have ever seen.
You can tell there was love put into this business. On the home page, the adorable family, including the kids, is featured in a very well-done video about making the perfect s’more. Below that the product is laid out beautifully.
The thing we loved about this business is that everything about it is not just well-done but simple and straightforward. You know what you are getting, you know who makes it and you know the price. There was obviously time and effort put into every aspect from the name of the company and the design of the site to the packaging and product. And, it shows. As soon as you open the webpage, they not only give you all the info, but convey the “feeling” they want to communicate with regards to the product as well. People forget how important that truly is.
Please show your support and visit www.wondermade.com and buy some mallows. They are very reasonably priced and come in many amazing flavors including, peppermint, sugar cookie, bourbon, Guiness, s’mores and chai. They even have a holiday pack.
