About
Hi there! So glad you stopped by…
My name is Tisha Berg and this blog chronicles my journey to become an M.D. as well as my life as a blogger and busy mom.
I’m married to a wonderful, supportive husband and mother to 2 very beautiful, smart and energetic girls, ages 7 and 5. I
always knew that when my kids were old enough, I wanted them to see me enjoying life for myself and not only through the satisfaction of being their mom. As a stay-at-home mom and freelance writer, I put aside other dreams that I had outside of raising my kids and accepted that that was what was necessary for my mostly one-income family. I finally realized, however, that in reclaiming some of those long-lost dreams, I had the great opportunity to become an even better mom.
My blogging journey has taken me down the road and back again with ideas about what exactly I wanted to do professionally at this stage in my life. Two years ago, I took an 18-month certification course to become a hypnotherapist, and although I didn’t realize it then, that course became the first step in the realization that my mid-life career path would shift to the field of medicine.
Most of my adult life has been spent in the pursuit of creative endeavors, but for the last fifteen years or so, I’ve felt a strong pull toward art of a different kind, that of healing. Unfortunately, I didn’t heed the call in the beginning because I thought that going to medical school was too much work, too much time and WAY too much money.
Perhaps it’s true what they say about the folly of youth, because now, in retrospect, all the excuses I made when I was younger just seem silly.
Thankfully, I realize now that the only course of right action for me at this point is to forge ahead, full-steam, and practice what I preach everyday to my daughters: Never be afraid to go after what you want. And if you want something badly enough, forget the challenges and just put in the time and do the work to make it happen.
I hope you’ll stick around and follow along as I continue to navigate this often challenging parenting journey and try to successfully juggle work, school and family life. Perhaps we can learn a thing or two from one another…
Thanks again for stopping by and I look forward to getting to know you better as part of the Biz Mommy community!

[...] Biz Mommy is an Internet Radio and blog devoted to Busy Mommies who also own businesses. As an author many of us start of writing because we love it. However, with the growth from writing, to pitching to agents and publisher and ending with publishing promotion it becomes obvious that we are running a business. Most writers don’t start writing with the realization that they are in the business of selling their books. It doesn’t start with the agent, it starts with us. [...]
Wow! Love your site! I just subscribed. You’re a completely industrious, creative, and inspiring blogger, from what I can see here. So much great content, I’ll have to return again and again. Thanks for saying hi on my blog- great to connect with you!

I am enjoying your site as well. Reading about your journey to where you are now was the icing. I have some more looking around to do, but was wonder if you can help me or guide me to a few things that you mentioned. SEO, sponsors and advertising. My blog is small right now, just joined SITS, and am always looking for ways to grow my blog and businesses.
